Since the very beginning, Peugeot diversified its production and has always remained industrially consistency. Its strategy has constantly been in tune with the needs of the times and the environment.

First manufacturing diversification
Peugeot Frères begins to manufacture hand-tooling for all trades.
1840
Coffee grinders manufactured
Start of coffee grinder manufacturing for domestic and commercial use (grocery shops, cafés, etc.) Although licence rights have now been transferred, coffee grinders are still made with the original mechanism.
1852
Steel crinolines manufactured
8.5 tons of crinolines in steel instead of traditional more-fragile wicker produced every month.
1933
Electrical tooling
Peugeot stopped manufacturing its electrical tooling in 1986.
2012
Peugeot Design Lab created
Peugeot opens its design studio to external, non-automotive customers.
