407 SW

SAFETY

The Peugeot 407 SW has high-performance active and passive safety systems to give you and your passengers optimised protection and to help you anticipate the difficulties that can occur on the road.

ESP

The braking system of the Peugeot 407 SW includes the anti-lock braking system (ABS), the Electronic Brake Force Distribution (EBFD) and the Emergency Brake Assist (EBA). ESPĀ® adds a further two functions to the three above: the traction control (ASR) acts on the brakes and the engine management to limit wheel slip in the event of loss of traction, the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) continuously compares information transmitted to the steering wheel and yaw sensor to detect any incipient under or oversteer. It then returns your 407 SW to its initial trajectory as far as the laws of physics allow.

Peugeot Emergency Service

If there is an accident, the WIP Com Telephone Navigation system* calls the emergency services. The Peugeot Emergency Service** will pinpoint you, offer you support in the major European countries (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Luxembourg) and send the emergency services out if you need them. *As an option, depending on models. **The Peugeot Emergency Service is available free of charge for a limited period. It requires you to insert a compatible and functioning SIM card into the navigation system and to be in an area where there is a telephone operator coverage.

Air bags

Protection of the passengers in the event of a collision is reinforced by the presence of 9 air bags: 2 front air bags, driver and front passenger, 2 front side air bags, 2 curtain air bags, one steering column air bag* and 2 rear side air bags*. *As standard or optional according to models.

Seat belts / Isofix mountings

The front seats and the outer rear seats (as an option) are fitted with seat belts with force limiter and fasten seat belt indicator for the front seats. And children haven't been forgotten: the outer rear seats are fitted with Isofix mountings.
