The 307 SW comes with a 16 valve engine which reconciles safety with driving pleasure. The steering and suspension axles require a triangular Pseudo Mac-Pherson type front axle and rear axle with flexible cross member. Electro-hydraulic power-assisted steering. An ESP system with ABS, electronic braking distribution, traction control and stability control functions. In order to perfect the shock absorption system and to neutralise the effects of increased load, common to this type of vehicle, variable shock absorbers have been fitted to the rear axle.
